San enters Nuoding Academy and meets Grandmaster, who upon learning of his Innate Soul Power figures out that San has Dual Martial Souls. Hao decides to allow San to go to the Academy 3 months later and Jack picks San up and takes him to Nuoding City. Hao teaches San a more powerful way to hammer metal. San shows his father both his Martial Souls (the Blue Silver Grass and the Hammer) with Hao reacting differently to both (sad with the Blue Silver Grass as it reminded him of someone and happy with the hammer). Hao says no to sending San to the Academy and Jack leaves.
